Maturity

MATURITY.

Maturity is described in many ways: responsible, self-controlled, self-regulating, trust-worthy, and I’m sure many more you would add to this list.

But I’m going to push back on these definitions.

As believers there is only one place we ought to look for the definition of maturity – God’s Words.

My hope and encouragement is that you’ll take these mindfully with the ever-present voice of the Holy Spirit in order to know WHAT our maturity is truly, as well as noticing what is NOT present in these passages.

Holy Spirit, I determine to become mature in the revelation of righteous that you’ve given to me in Jesus the Anointed One through Your guidance, instruction, and revelation!

You’ll see that this is a “half-list”; it’s only 16 verses. A few ways to use this:

1. Take two days on each.

2. Go through it twice.

3. Take time to “camp” in the verses that the Holy Spirit highlights for you.

Anyway, back to the October DSG…as you read the verses in the October Daily Scripture Guide I must insist that you remember that you ARE NOW the righteousness of Christ. It is not something you can phase in and out of or everything of God is a lie. So while things “of the flesh” may still be true about your soul (mind, will, and emotions) they are NO LONGER TRUE about your perfected spirit!

Enjoy, or at least, be built up in faith, grace, and the revelation of your righteousness.
