December 2021 Daily Scripture Guide
A Real Life Bible Study with Tabitha
Sometimes I get to lead bible studies which is in my top 5 favorite things.
1. Soaking in the Word with the Holy Spirit on my own.
2. Fun with my hunny and our dog.
3. Ballet.
4. Growth Coaching.
5. Leading Word Studies.
Just a few weeks ago I got to lead Word Warriors - the bible study that has impacted my own life so tremendously over the last 5 years! And we had a blast. The way I lead bible studies goes like this:
Step 1: Arrive —> we take a breath to turn the focus of our hearts to God, to expect to hear from the Holy Spirit, and to leave all soul distractions with God.
Step 2: Listen to the Holy Spirit —> Pick a chapter from the NT! We break it into chunks, reading each section around the circle in different versions, then asking ourselves what stood out, if there was something about a different version we found inspiring, and were there any other scripture come to mind, and then we go read them! Every single time awesome community understanding of God’s character and promises happens!
Sometimes there’s a particular question that gets brought up that we jump into; I ask the Holy Spirit for the scripture about that topic and we just GO! It’s REALLY fun because it’s amazing how MUCH of the Word gets brought in this way! Everyone has the Word tucked into their heart even if the numerical reference is not known, which is why google searching, “that verse that says _________” is a common event!
Step 3: Process the Truth found in His Words with the Holy Spirit by connecting it with OTHER parts of the Word. Example: Galatians 3 = Romans 4. Allowing each participant to hear from the Holy Spirit and share what is brought to mind in order to encourage everyone’s faith through hearing the Words of God!
Why am I telling you this. Because the December Daily Scripture Guide is your personal Bible Study with me, Tabitha. These scriptures are the line-up from the last time I got to lead; we had such a wonderful time and the ladies saved the scripture trail for me! So now I’m sharing it with you.
Save the DSG: just right click or press and hold this image for save options.
How to use it: follow the same steps from when we do bible study in person. Arrive. Read. Process with the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to take the 45 minutes you’ll need to go through each scripture at one time. THEN throughout the month you might return to and meditate on specific verses that got you in the feels. Or maybe you’ll be inspired to create your OWN verse trail based on what you find!
No matter WHAT you do - with this DSG or not - it is with deepest encouragement that I implore you to make up your mind to take time with Your Good Father every day during this amazing season of celebrating His coming to save the world.
