Chapter 12 – Melting Away Unbelief
Realizing our True nature of righteousness is the most freeing and powerful revelation; simultaneously realizing how much unbelief is in our natural minds can be a little overwhelming. The Holy Spirit is so good and reminds us that even unbelief is forgiven because of God’s grace.
Romans 12:2 ESV “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
“Transformed” implies process and where we are in the process does not change His pleasure over us. As we dissolve unbelief through focusing on the truth of our identity, the experience here in this realm shifts dramatically from fear to confidence. The only way to dissolve unbelief is to douse it with the Truth of God’s love and grace on a regular basis. Knowing the Word, leaning on the Holy Spirit, praying in tongues, and increasing attention and imagination on our unity with Jesus the Anointed One. Ultimately, every kind of unbelief is rooted in not knowing God’s enormous love for us or our righteous identity in Jesus.
Hebrews 5:13 ESV “for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.”
2 Peter 1:9 ESV “For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.”
We must shift our focus to our identity of righteousness to start the process of melting away unbelief and make our hearts super responsive to God’s voice of Truth! (Hebrews 3:12)
Colossians 3:2-3 ESV “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
